This debut offering from director Ram Kumar has turned out to be a worthy product from the CV Kumar - Fox Star Studios camp.

The movie is based on 1982 period, where Mundasupatti is a village which is rooted in superstitious beliefs. They belif that if they get captured by camera then they will die in few days, so no photography is allowed inside their village. They fervently worship a meteorite, which landed in their village, as their God.

Vishnu acts as Gopi, a young photographer who is required to come to this village along with his labour (Kaali Venkat acts as Labor, comedian male in Thegidi). The actor who played in "oor thalaivar"(Village Head) is the father of Director.Karthik Suburaj(Director of PIZZA and nor Jigardhanda). The actor who plays Muneeshkanth is the biggest revelation in the film. He acts as an aspiring star and takes the services of Gopi to further his career interests. But little does he know that his picture is being used for some other purpose. The moment when Muneesh realizes what’s going on, is the highlight of the film and this arrives around the intermission point. Another actor who makes a big mark is the one who plays the fraudulent village priest.

First half       :   Narration of  the village and how native its inhabitants are. Little drop in the beginning of the film but after few sequences it was carried out well by Director Ram. These repetitive episodes are funny but give us a feeling that the story is going nowhere. Before the intermission point, the film picks up and enters its peak phase.

Second half   : It is packed completely with enough memorable moments and the director makes sure that we leave the hall smiling in the end, after close to two and a half hours of entertainment. The way he has used the camera to finally resolve things is fitting.

Veteran villain actor Anandaraj showcases his histrionics range and there are a few hilarious aspects of his role which have to be seen.

This is another good outing for the endearing Kaali Venkat and the actor scores with his sly remarks, delivered in his inimitable style. He sometimes becomes inaudible as he attempts to deliver his dialogues in an effortless manner.

Vishnu’s knack for choosing good scripts has been again proved with this Mundasupatti. Nandita plays a simple village girl who falls in love with the visiting photographer and their romance is bolstered by Sean Roldan’s re-recording and the lilting melody songs, where as in this movie director hasn't added 5 or more songs like other commercial films, he had just placed the songs where it was required. Almost songs are made as BGM rather than dancing and adding sets.

The dressing of all the characters and the props, accessories used are authentic. Good work on the production design and the art work. The overall visual output is vibrant and colourful. Camera work before the climax sequences was amazing.

Plus     : Bgm, Casting, Dialogues, Screenplay
Minus  : Nothing big, little drop in 1st half beginning, dialogues of those few minutes was not markable.

Overall, it's a complete joyful movie to be watched in theater with family. I can say you will enjoy to the core from the beginning till the end. Only few min in the beginning of the 1st half will be bored.

Verdict : A complete laugh-riot , comedy entertainment ( Mundasupatti , muratunamaana siripu patiam )

RATING : 3.25/5
